And then there were three!
Later this week, I am scheduled to have major knee surgery that could keep me out of parish/pastoral work for as long as 8 weeks. With the unexpected absence of Father Terry earlier this summer, that means that for the next several weeks, Fathers Joseph, Martin and Jeff will do their best to “hold the fort” for the parish until I am in a position to be able to get back to work and ministry.
The immediate 2 weeks after the surgery I am having is the critical time for the doctors and others to assess the success of the surgery and, then, give me a better idea of how long my recovery will be. Eight weeks tends to be the maximum amount of recovery time; anything less than that I’ve been told to consider God’s gift to me!
So, I ask for your prayers. Know I always keep you in my prayers as a regular part of my personal prayer time – interceding for you, your families and your needs.
