From the Pastor’s Desk
First of all, on behalf of all our parishioners as well as our students, faculty and staff of Cathedral Parish School and the Cathedral Parish School Early Education Center, allow me to express a BIG THANK YOU to Kevin Partel and the hundreds of volunteers who made this year’s Cathedral Festival a great success! As we await a final accounting of income and expenses, we know how much fun we had as well as how this Festival touches the broader St. Augustine community each year for the past 33 years! Thanks to all who worked so unselfishly to support Catholic education.
And speaking of people whose lives touch a wide range of people, not only in St. Augustine but throughout Florida, the Sisters of Saint Joseph will be celebrating their patronal feast on Monday, March 19. Please plan now to join us at 6:00 p.m. in the Cathedral as we celebrate Solemn Vespers for the feast along with them. The Sisters have been and remain so much of the fabric of our community. I hope you will plan on joining us that evening so, as we offer God a sacrifice of praise, we can also pray with and for these wonderful women of faith!
