From the Pastor’s Desk

You probably have noticed how bad our new pews have become in such a short time (two years after we completed the Cathedral’s renovation)! Well, the company that manufactured the pews has admitted to poor quality of workmanship and product. They will begin work on Monday of this week (November 6) to repair/replace the pews. This is warranty work, so it will not cost the parish anything.

Most of the work will take place during the evening hours so the Cathedral will be accessible, as usual, during the daytime hours. However, there is a good possibility that some areas of the church will not be available for seating during the 7:00 a.m. Mass and other parts of the day. Please help us by being aware of areas that are roped off as well as signs that may be posted. These are for your safety.

Also, this Friday is our nation’s observance of Veteran’s Day. Please note that the rectory office will be closed and that there will be no Solemn Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament on November 10.

To all our Veterans – Thank you for your service to our nation and its freedoms.

Love,

Father Tom
