From the Pastor’s Desk

First of all a final reminder of the presentation of Tolton: From Slave to Priest will be on Wednesday, February 13 at 7:00 p.m. in the Cathedral. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. Please be aware that with set up of the production, the Cathedral will be closed at 1:00 p.m. that day. As well, Solemn Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament on February 13 will conclude with Benediction following the praying of the Rosary at 12:00 noon. A free-will offering will be taken up to help the parish in defraying costs.

Next Saturday and Sunday at all Masses, at the request of Bishop Estévez, we will be giving you an opportunity to become part of the Florida Catholic Advocacy Network (FLCAN). As our bishops in the State of Florida seek to pursue justice for our neighbors, the sacredness of human life, the dignity of every human person and the pursuit of peace and the common good, FLCAN keeps you informed of legislation and other public policy issues our Bishops are monitoring. You can then assist the Bishops by contacting your legislators in State government, advocating for our Catholic beliefs.

Postcards will be available for FLCAN at all Masses for the Lord’s Day next week. Prayerfully consider how you can respond. Your participation is greatly appreciated.

Love,

Father Tom
