This is a ministry that is offered at a time of sadness in a family. We are here to offer initial help to a family following the death of a loved one. This is done through a visit with the family. Members of this ministry may also be able to help as liturgical ministers (hospitality, lectors, extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion, funeral choir) during the funeral services. Other areas for the bereavement ministry will be added based on the resources and skills of those who offer themselves for this ministry. Participation in this ministry requires a background check and attendance at the Protecting God’s Children Workshop.
