From the Pastor’s Desk
It’s Mother’s Day in our nation – a time to honor our mothers, living and deceased. Happy Mother’s Day to all the women of our parish. We pray that God, through the intercession of the Blessed Mother, Mary, will bless you abundantly.
Over the past several weeks, the news media has highlighted medical professionals and other “front line” workers as they have faced the COVID-19 pandemic. Their sacrifices and heroic efforts are to be lauded by all. Another group that also has to be acknowledged are the mothers (and fathers and other family members) who overnight had to come up with a “new normal” for life in their homes. From figuring out how children would be able to be on-line for school work while workers had to have access to computers and the like to get jobs taken care of, the balancing act has been a stress for all. Thanks to the moms and others who made it all happen!
This is a day to honor with profound love the women of our lives who have loved us beyond measure. Let us do so with an extra big hug for each of them.
